The Honorable Daphne Sykes has been a partner since 2021. For years, she had been intrigued by the idea of investing in the stock market but did not know where to begin. Joining the club offered the opportunity to learn and execute a proven investment strategy in a supportive and comfortable environment. Looking forward, she is eager to broaden her knowledge regarding the stock and cryptocurrency markets while enjoying her peers’ camaraderie, community, and shared journey.
BIO
The Honorable Sykes has served as a federal prosecutor, deputy district attorney, and appellate lawyer. In 2010, the then-governor appointed her to the Orange County Superior Court. As a judge, she has presided over criminal and family law matters. Currently, she sits on the juvenile dependency panel, an assignment that requires an appreciation of, and reverence for, the vast spectrum of the human experience in all of its complexities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College and a Juris Doctor from the City University of New York at Queens College. Additionally, she attended Cemanauc Institute in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. She is also a proud life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and a board member and tenor in Laguna Beach Chamber Singers.
A classical and sacred choral music enthusiast, the Honorable Sykes is a yogi, straight-ahead jazz lover, lay linguist, bundtlette baker, festival fanatic, former ballet teacher, ethnic cuisine foodie, red wine connoisseur, friends and family social entertainer, and a road trip enthusiast—the longer, the better! “In life you start off with your Plan A.
